President William Ruto has affirmed that he will not allow a few people to destroy the country in response to the recent Gen Z and millennial protests.
Speaking on Monday, July 29, Ruto stated that Kenya's leadership is not determined by social media, violence, or protests but by Citizens on the ballot box.
"Kenya is a democratic country, and the citizens are the ones who decide the leadership from MCA to the President. Kenya's leadership is not determined by social media, protests, or violence," remarked Ruto.
The Head of State urged Kenyans to unite, defend the country, and forge ahead together.

At the same time, the President who is on a development tour of the Coast region, announced the resumption of the construction of the stalled Mombasa- Kilifi Highway.
"I came to launch this road that begins at Nyali-Bridge to Kilifi through Mtwapa, the contractor is already on site," he said.
Ruto mentioned that the Government had set aside billions to connect residents to electricity in the Coast region.
"We have set aside Ksh5 billion to ensure that 100,000 residents are connected to the national electricity grid. Electricity should not be a privilege of the rich but for every Kenyan," said Ruto.
In what seems a strategic move to marshal the Coast region behind him, Ruto has nominated Hassan Joho and Salim Mvurya to the cabinet.
