Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has projected Raila Odinga as the decider of Kenya's next political direction.
Reacting to a local newspaper's headline, Ahmednasir argued that Raila was best placed politically to determine who leads the country post-2027.
The lawyer, basing his assertion on recent political developments, said the veteran opposition leader had proved himself an undisputed 'political oligarch'.
Ranking civil servants and political figures have been visiting Raila at his Capitol Hill offices, suggesting the shots he calls behind the scenes.

"Raila isn't just the "new centre of power." He is the "future centre of power." He will probably decide on a date in 2026 whether or not President Ruto's government should come down tumbling to the ground. He will also decide whether President Ruto will serve two terms or just one term. Raila, is that powerful," said Ahmednasir.
The perceived truce between Raila and Ruto adds to the former prime minister's previous engagements with the governments whose leaders routed him in elections.
For instance, Raila was defeated in 2017 by former president Uhuru Kenyatta, with whom he shook hands and partnered throughout the latter's second term.
In the current setting, Raila has had five of his allies in ODM getting Cabinet slots in the government.
Despite the happenings, the former prime minister has maintained that he is not in government and does not intend to get in.
