The Public Service Commission (PSC) has advertised internship opportunities for interested and qualified Kenyans.
In a notice on Tuesday, August 13, PSC disclosed that the recruitment will be done for government ministries, departments, and agencies under the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) for the financial year 2024/25.
"The Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) is a government youth empowerment programme whose main objective is to offer college graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build skills in order to enhance their chances for employment, networking and entrepreneurship.
"The Public Service Commission (PSC) is pleased to announce the recruitment of interns (Cohort 7) under the PSIP for the Financial Year 2024/2025," read part of the notice.
To qualify for the programme, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and have graduated no earlier than 2018.

PSC further stated that the candidates must be proficient in computer skills.
Duties attached to the role include completing duties mutually agreed upon and assigned by the supervisor and documenting relevant skills acquired in their areas of deployment.
The interns will also participate in any relevant mentorship activities and execute additional responsibilities designed for the programme.
The internship will last for 12 months (non-renewable) and the interns will be paid a stipend at a rate determined by the government.
Upon completion of the internship, they shall be awarded a certificate.
PSC stated that interested candidates should make their applications through the Commission’s job portal accessible through www.publicservice.go.ke or www.psckjobs.go.ke before September 2, 2024.
