Senate Majority Whip Irungu Kang’ata has shared a cryptic message ahead of Jubilee parliamentary group meeting for the upper house.
The meeting, which will be attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta, is expected to deliberate on the Jubilee agenda as the Senate resumes.
However, political pundits believe the meeting is meant to oust Kang’ata following his controversial letter to President Kenyatta detailing how the BBI was unpopular in the Mt. Kenya region.
Ahead of the meeting, Kang’ata has expressed confidence stating he remains humble.
“Tomorrow's PG at KICC- Courage brother does not stumble,Though thy path be dark as night. There is star to guide the humble,Take it to the Lord in prayer,”Kang’ata tweeted.

Since writing the controversial letter, pundits have maintained that Kang’ata’s time in the senate leadership was done.
Critics of the Murang’a senator believe his letter was motivated by alleged allegiance to the Deputy President William Ruto camp that criticized the BBI.
The meeting comes after the Jubilee Party expelled six senators for gross misconduct.
In a letter signed by party secretary-general Raphael Tuju, Senators Mwaura Isaac , Mary Yiane , Waqo Naomi Jilo, Omanga Millicent, Prengei Victor, and Iman Falhada Dekow were with immediate effect expelled.
However, DP Ruto’s camp has claimed that the expulsion was strategic to gain the numbers meant to send Kang’ata home.
According to Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, the Jubilee Party was hypocritical with the suspension.
“This is the game; The 6 senators are purportedly expelled today because tomorrow they want to remove Whip Kang’ata. Since we are 38 PG members (including the fake KANU)&they can’t raise 20 to remove Whip, they will argue we are 32 so that they target only 17 Senators.Hypocrites!,” Murkomen tweeted.
Ahead of the PG, the full agenda has not been revealed.
