Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko is admitted at the Nairobi hospital.
On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, reports emerged that Sonko was hospitalized with stomach complications.
An official privy to the matter has disclosed that Sonko is in stable condition.
The ex-governor was set to know if he will be freed after the rulings. Sonko is in police custody until Thursday when a Kiambu court is expected to issue a ruling on his bail application.
The ex-governor was last week on Tuesday arraigned in a Kiambu court to face various counts of assault and forcible entry of property in Buruburu Phase Four.
He denied the charges of forcible entry and nine counts of assault causing bodily harm.
Pleading for Sonko
Chief Inspector Geoffrey Ndatho said Sonko committed the offences on May 25, 2019, at LR NRB block 78/863 at Kamukunji sub-county in Nairobi County.
Last week Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka pleaded with President Uhuru Kenyatta to forgive Sonko for abusing him.
Speaking on Thursday at Kabarak Nakuru County during the remembrance service of the late Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, Kalonzo promised to mentor Sonko once he was done with his drama.
"Mheshimiwa rais nakuomba uniachie huyo kijana wetu anaitwa Mike Mbuvi Sonko amekutusi sana. Tunaomba msamaha. Akimaliza hizi episodes we will yet mentor him. Usiyashikilie hayo maneno," he requested the Head of State.
