The High Court on Friday, August 23 directed the National Police Service (NPS) to immediately disclose the whereabouts of Jamil Longton, Aslam Longton, and Bob Micheni Njagi.
The three were arrested on Monday, August 19, and have been held incommunicado in an undisclosed location from that time.
While issuing the order, Justice Lawrance Mugambi the rights of the trio had been violated by the state.
“That pending the hearing and determination of this application inter partes an order is hereby issued directing the Respondents to immediately disclose the whereabouts of the 2nd to 4th Petitioners to the 1st Petitioner,” Justice Mugambi directed.
The High Court Judge also directed the police to release the three activists or arraign them in court.

The case will be mentioned on Monday, August 26 at 10:00 am to confirm compliance with the above orders and further directions.
Jamil, Aslam, and Njagi were allegedly arrested after announcing anti-government protests in Kitengela town, Kajiado County.
The trio was reportedly picked up and forcefully bundled into private vehicles by unknown masked and armed men on Monday.
