Aburi organized the event to issue wheelchairs and Tricycles to disabled people from the area.

At least three people have been injured after chaos ensued on Monday, August 26 during Kisii Women Representative Doris Aburi’s event in Moticho ward, South Mugirango.

Aburi had organized the event at Nyakeyo DEB special school where she was issuing wheelchairs and tricycles to disabled people from the area.

Goons stormed the event and attacked the locals who had turned up at the event spearheaded by Aburi.

The goons also pulled down tents erected in the event and sent the members of the public off.

A video seen by Nairobileo.co.ke showed the disabled people who had come to receive wheelchairs and tricycles scampering for safety.

The police could also be seen in the event trying to bring normalcy after the chaos.

During the incident, three people were injured including an activist who was struck by an arrow on his head. The activist was rushed to a medical facility in Kisii for medical attention.

It is not yet clear who is behind the attack on the Kisii Women Representative’s event and the police are yet to issue a statement on the chaos.

Aburi has been facing hostilities in Kisii County in recent days and was even booed during President Ruto’s tour to the region weeks ago.
