A huge fire has broken out along a section of Thika Road, Bed Palace, razing down several businesses.

In photos and videos seen by Nairobileo.co.ke on Wednesday, August 28, members of the public had gathered at the scene with no sight of firefighters. 

The Kenya Red Cross Nairobi Branch acknowledged the incident and disclosed that an emergency response team was en route to the scene.

Fire at Bed Palace along Thika Road.

"A fire incident has been reported at Bed Palace along Thika Road. Response teams en route to the scene," the Nairobi Red Cross stated.

As of the time this article was published, the cause of the fire had not been determined and no casualties had been reported.

Bed Palace is a renowned furniture store along the Thika superhighway.

It is not the first time the furniture store has been ravaged by fire, as another fire broke out on the same premises on December 8 last year.

The daytime fire destroyed property of unknown value.
