The Kenya Meteorological Department has warned of high temperatures in South Rift Valley, Coast, South-eastern lowlands, Western, North-eastern, and North-western Kenya.
In a weather forecast report on Monday, September 23, Kenya Met disclosed that daytime temperatures in the regions will exceed 30°C over the next seven days.
"High average daytime temperatures of more than 30°C will be experienced in some parts of the Coast, the South-eastern lowlands, North-eastern and North-western Kenya," Kenya Met stated.
South-eastern lowlands include the counties of Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado and Taita-Taveta while the Coast includes Mombasa, Tana-River, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale counties.
On the other hand, North-eastern is comprised of the counties of Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo while North-western includes Turkana and Samburu counties.

However, the weatherman warned of chilly nights with temperatures below 10°C over parts of the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and South-eastern lowlands.
According to the weather forecast, most parts of the country will remain dry during the forecast period.
However, occasional rainfall is expected in the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, and the Coast.
In the last forecast, Kenya Met disclosed that daytime temperatures decreased over several parts of the country, though Machakos and Nyahururu recorded increases.
Similarly, nighttime temperatures rose in most parts of the country, with only a few locations, such as Lamu, Laikipia, and Msabaha, recording slight decreases.
