Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has warned former Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru to tone down her political outbursts.
Speaking on Tuesday evening, September 24, after Waruguru visited him at home, Gachagua noted that he was a peaceful person and asked the former lawmaker to be calm.
"Tone down because we are not fighting with anybody. We are peaceful people who don't have a problem with anybody. Let's be calm and work because Kenya is ours and it's great," Gachagua remarked.
In response, Waruguru stated that she took note of the Deputy President's remarks and added that she was glad to see he was doing well.
"I am happy to see you are okay and I have heard you because when you speak, you are like our father. I am happy you are giving us assurance that everything is okay," she stated.

In the past week, Waruguru has been vocal about the impeachment speculations against Gachagua, issuing warnings to those behind the plans.
Speaking during a church service on Sunday, September 22, in Thika, Kiambu County, the former lawmaker accused President William Ruto of planning to punish his deputy.
"Our president, you were prayed for by the church and those who were used by God to put you in office especially the Mt. Kenya region, you cannot punish us twice. We were punished because of standing with you and now we see you want to punish Rigathi Gachagua and Mt. Kenya because we have differed with you," Waruguru remarked.
Reacting to the impeachment speculations on Friday, September 20, Gachagua said he was prepared for the realities post his removal from office, should it succeed.
"That is the MPs' decision. My position is very clear. I was elected by the people of Kenya, and it is them who will confirm whether I am working well or not. But if MPs are persuaded, intimidated or coerced to remove me from office, so be it," the DP stated.
