Former Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka is among the president's new appointees.

President William Ruto has sanctioned appointments in various state agencies and corporations.

The president made seven appointments, each lasting three years, in a gazette notice published on Friday, October 4.

Among the new appointees is former Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka.

Ruto appointed Munyaka chairperson of the Kenya Animal Genetic Resource Centre for three years from the date of the gazette notice.

Further, the president nominated James Ndung'u as the chairperson of the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority.

According to the gazette notice, the new state corporations head appointed by President William Ruto will hold their posts for three years.

Donald Murgor will be the chairperson of the Water Resources Authority.

Silas Otieno Jonyo will be the Chairperson of the Council of the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC).

Joseph Kipchumba Lagat is the new chairperson of the National Mining Corporation.

Bishop Joseph Kagunda is the new chairperson of the Board of the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya.

Besides the state corporations, the president made appointments to the board that will be charged with selecting the new vice chairperson and members of the Public Service Commission (PSC).

The new board members are Arthur Osiya, Oscar Eredi, Professor Nura Mohammed, Grace Wairimu Kamau, Ruth Wambeti Ruraa, Nancy M. Butama, Elizabeth Chesang;
