Murang'a Governor Irungu Kang'ata has announced an accountant job position opportunity.  

In an update on X on Tuesday evening, October 22, the Governor shared a job advert inviting interested applicants to apply.

According to the advert, applicants should have a KCSE minimum grade of B+ and are required to have a bachelor's degree in accounting or an equivalent from a recognized university. 

Additionally, they must be certified at the Public Accountant-Advanced Level and have a minimum of two years of experience in basic bookkeeping or accounting rules.

"We are seeking a detail-oriented accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for basic bookkeeping and various administrative tasks. The role requires accuracy, organizational skills, and their ability to handle financial transactions and records efficiently," the job advert read.

The advert showed that the accountant would be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers, processing invoices, receipts, and payments, reconciling bank statements and internal accounts, and maintaining payroll. 

They would also be tasked with filing taxes, performing general office duties, including filing and data entry, and link correspondence and communication with vendors and clients, and preparing basic financial reports and summaries.
