One person is trapped, and two others have been rescued after a building under construction collapsed in Majengo, Mombasa County.
Confirming the incident on Monday, November 11, the Kenya Red Cross disclosed that a multi-agency team was on site conducting rescue operations.
"A building under construction in Majengo, Mombasa County has collapsed. Two people have been rescued, while one person is feared trapped.
"A multi-agency response team, including the Kenya Police, County Government of Mombasa and the Kenya Red Cross, is currently conducting search and rescue operations," Kenya Red Cross stated.
The cause of the incident has not yet been determined.

Images from the incident seen by Nairobileo.co.ke showed construction workers, who were working on the building involved in rescue operations with the multi-agency team.
The incident comes a few weeks after a multi-storey building collapsed in Kahawa West, Nairobi.
Following the incident, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja disclosed that all construction workers who were on the ground floor of the eight-storey building were accounted for.
A notice dated October 16 seen by Nairobileo.co.ke, revealed that the Nairobi City County had asked the occupants of the building to vacate within 14 days.
The Nairobi City County stated that the building's construction lacked authorisation from the county and had been classified as dangerous.
