Political allies of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua have accused the government of using unlawful tactics to intimidate them.
Speaking in Nyeri county on Wednesday, December 4, the MPs and Senators led by Githunguri lawmaker Gathoni Wamuchomba expressed that they were living in fear.
According to the politicians, they could no longer enjoy their daily routine for fear of being abducted.
"We are sleeping in fear. We are driving in fear. We are not even going to churches anymore because we fear that we might be abducted along the way," she stated.

Consequently, Wamuchomba indicated that the team would officially be launching a complaint against government officials and agencies allegedly being used to intimidate and harass them.
Meanwhile, lawyer Ndegwa Njiru lamented over the DCI summons issued to Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thang'wa at night.
According to the lawyer, the Senator was summoned to appear at the DCI offices in Nyeri to answer questions related to the chaos witnessed at a funeral in Limuru last week.
"We are here to serve a court order that bars the police from effecting arrest upon our client. We are also here to answer unceremonious summons that were issued at night," the lawyer remarked.
