A majority of our security personnel are spending Christmas and the festive season away from their loved ones - CS Murkomen. 

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen on Wednesday, December 25 celebrated Christmas with security officers. 

Most of the security officers were recalled from leave to intensify security across the country during the festive period. 

"A majority of our security personnel are spending Christmas and the festive season away from their loved ones to keep our country safe and secure. It's a sacrifice worth our praise," CS Murkomen stated.

"I visited Kainuk, Ngaratuko, Tot, and Turkwel security camps in the Kerio Valley to celebrate Christmas with the officers whose work has brought peace to the region. 

"I applauded the officers for their patriotism and assured them of our full support as they work to bring lasting peace to the region," remarked Murkomen.
