Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has called on Kenyans to embrace hard work in 2025 to secure a brighter future.
In his New Year message on Wednesday, January 1, Kindiki declared that the start of the year offers an opportunity for individuals to refocus and set new goals.
He highlighted that through dedication and hard work, Kenyans can accelerate the realization of the country’s vision of a society free from deprivation.
"The beginning of the year provides all of us with the opportunity to renew our collective focus on project Kenya. Now is the time for each citizen to freshen the resolve to work harder towards a better future and a more cohesive nation.
"This way, we will expedite the realization of our vision of a society free from fear and want. God bless this our land and nation," Kindiki remarked.

His message comes after he skipped a state dinner hosted by President William Ruto at the Kisii State Lodge on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, to usher in the new year.
The Head of State was joined by First Lady Rachel Ruto and other top government officials, including Interior PS Raymond Omollo, Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, Kisii Governor Simba Arati, his Homa Bay counterpart Gladys Wanga and Migori Senator Eddy Oketch among others.
In his New Year message, President Ruto affirmed that his government was working towards realising its pledges and commitments of its governing mandate.
The Head of State urged Kenyans to be responsible and well-grounded citizens whose actions promote unity, patriotism, democracy and the rule of law.
