The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has refuted reports that it was seeking to arrest an Indian national suspected of being behind an international human trafficking syndicate involved in organ harvesting.
On Tuesday, January 7, the DCI dismissed as fake a poster circulating online, allegedly issued by the agency, claiming that the suspect was wanted.
The poster alleged that the suspect had escaped custody in India, where he was being held for crimes related to human organ harvesting, before fleeing to Kenya.
It further claimed that the suspect was running a kidney harvesting syndicate in Kenya and that DCI was offering a cash reward for any information leading to his capture.
