The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has refuted claims circulating on social media suggesting that it has released the 2024 KCSE results for Lugulu Girls' High School.
In a statement shared on its official X account, KNEC flagged the posts as fake, urging the public to disregard the misinformation.
The claims, attributed to a Facebook user, alleged that Lugulu Girls' High School had received its KCSE results, which had supposedly been withheld by KNEC.
The post provided fabricated statistics, stating that the school achieved a mean grade of 10.23 and 100% university entry.
An accompanying banner featuring similar details was also shared online, but KNEC labeled both the post and the banner as falsified.

Among the schools affected by the withholding of results are Lugulu Girls' High School in Bungoma County, a national school known for its strong academic performance, and St. Peter’s Abwao Secondary School in Migori County, which had previously emerged as a top performer in the region.
Others are Mama Malia Academy in Kitui County, a private institution run by the Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation, Kipsingei Mixed Secondary School in Bomet County, and Katilu Boys High School in Turkana County.
