He likened the advisors to cartels and traitors who did not have the best interest of the President and Kenyans at heart.

Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has called out advisors in the Office of the President for misleading President William Ruto.

Speaking in Mumias during the distribution of bonuses to sugarcane farmers on Monday, January 20, Salasya opined that the President's advisors were lying to him over government programmes.

He likened the advisors to cartels and traitors who did not have the best interest of the President and Kenyans at heart.

According to Salasya, the Head of State was becoming unpopular because of government policies and programmes.

He cited the Social Health Authority (SHA) which has been experiencing technical hitches, causing delays in services in the hospitals.

"These people tell you that SHA is working when it is not working. They also tell you that the new university funding model is working and it is not. I know you have the heart to help the country but there are cartels and traitors within your government," he stated.

"They don't want you to know the truth. I know you are a God-sent leader who was sent to save this nation."

Therefore, he opined that the Head of State needed to change his advisors, offering himself for the role.

Salasya also warned that Ruto risked his reelection in 2027 because many Kenyans were unhappy about the taxes introduced by the current administration.

"When you involve stakeholders, things will work. Because we never involve stakeholders in public health decisions," he stated.

"I want you to take me as your personal advisor and pay me."
