Lecturers at Moi University in Eldoret started their strike on Wednesday, February 2021.
The educators downed their tools demanding salary arrears for the past year before signing a new contract that starts in 2021.
In 2020 University of Nairobi lecturers, attached to the KNH Medical School withdrew their services.
The lecturers who double up as tutors and medics at KNH attributed their move to unpaid allowances and incessant disputes with the university.
KMPDU said the lecturers who also serve as doctors at the hospital were granted their allowances three months ago, but they are yet to receive the monies from the university.

The doctors who are set to get a maximum of Ksh190,000 per month in cumulative allowances, depending on their job groups, feel aggrieved since they are paid equally with their colleagues outside the hospital environment, despite putting in the extra effort.
"Academic staff condemn the unilateral withdrawal of payment of the clinical allowances by the University of Nairobi in complete disregard of employment and labour loss," UASU Secretary General Constantine Wasonga stated.
The lecturers stated that the University would not produce graduates (medical doctors, nurse and pharmacists) if the management failed to meet their demands.
The strike came days after University students resumed normal classes on October 5, 2020, following a directive issued by the Ministry of Education.
