Labour and Social Protection CS Alfred Mutua has issued a warning over a poster announcing a job recruitment exercise in Bomet County.
In a statement on Monday, January 27, Mutua labeled the poster, which falsely claims to announce the recruitment program at Sot Technical Training Institute, as fake.
"The information in the attached poster is misleading and false. There is no recruitment process scheduled for Bomet County on the stated date and venue. Kindly disregard this information," he said.
Mutua urged the public to exercise caution and verify any recruitment-related information through official government communication channels.
"The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection advises the public to verify any recruitment information through official government channels to avoid falling victim to scams. For accurate and reliable updates on job opportunities, please contact our offices directly or visit our official website and social media platforms," he added.

This comes about two weeks after Mutua cautioned Kenyans against CSC, a company claiming to offer jobs in Dubai.
In a statement on Wednesday, January 15, the CS revealed that the company is unregistered and its operations are not recognized by the government.
Mutua announced that he has directed the ministry's compliance team and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to take appropriate action.
"Warning: The company CSC Compliancy is fake and unregistered. It has not uploaded any job demands, and its activities are unknown to us.
"We are dispatching our compliance team and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to take necessary action. Do not engage with this company until it is officially cleared by the National Employment Authority (NEA)," he stated.
