Weeks after former Standard Group journalist Eric Latiff and former Citizen TV journalist Janet Mbugua joined the Nation Media Group (NMG), the duo is now set to co-host a new show dubbed Fixing The Nation.
In a statement on Friday, January 31, NTV disclosed that the show will begin on Monday, February 3, and it will run from 6:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m. across all the media house's platforms.
"#FixingTheNation with Eric Latiff, Janet Mbugua, and Mariam Bishar is coming to you this Monday, February 3 from 6 am-10 am. More details below. You don’t want to miss it!” NTV stated.
Speaking on Friday, Brian Aseli, who used to host the Morning Fix show alongside Mariam Bishar at Nation FM, disclosed that the Friday show was the last as it was going to be replaced by the Fixing The Nation show.
“This is the last show for the morning fix. Morning Fix as you know it has been the duo that is Mariam Bishar and Brian Aseli and of course DJ E every Friday and right now we have to say our goodbyes. But of course, it is also our hello for another amazing show," Aseli stated.

He noted that the new show would run from Monday to Friday on NTV, Nation FM and Nation Media Group's digital platforms.
"Fixing The Nation is the name of a show you all need to get familiar with because it is a four-hour morning show running Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. It replaces Morning Fix. It is going to be on TV, radio and digital platforms at the same time," he explained.
On Friday, January 24, NMG Head of Broadcasting Simaloi Dajom announced that Mbugua had joined the Kimathi Street-based media house.
The journalist's comeback to the mainstream media came after an eight-year break following her exit from Citizen TV in April 2017.
She joined Nation Media Group moments after Latiff joined the Kimathi Street-based media house on Monday, January 6.
