The Judiciary has appointed Paul Ndemo Maina as the Spokesperson

The Judiciary has appointed Paul Ndemo Maina as the Spokesperson in a move aimed at strengthening public engagement and transparency. 

In a statement on Thursday, February 6, the Judiciary said Ndemo, who currently serves as the Deputy Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, will lead efforts in effective communication and stakeholder engagement.

Ndemo will act as the primary point of contact for disseminating official information, clarifying judicial processes, and addressing public inquiries.   

"Hon. Ndemo’s appointment underscores the Judiciary’s commitment to effective communication and stakeholder engagement by ensuring the public remains informed about judicial services and initiatives. 

"As the Judiciary Spokesperson, he will serve as the primary point of contact for disseminating official information, clarifying matters related to judicial processes, and addressing public inquiries," the statement read.

Ndemo brings extensive experience in the justice sector, having joined the Judiciary in August 2018 as the Deputy Chief Registrar. 

Before this, he served at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions from 2006 to 2018, where he rose to the position of Senior Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions.

Ndemo holds a Master of Arts degree in International Studies and a Bachelor of Laws degree, both from the University of Nairobi. 

Additionally, he has a Certificate in Strategic and Security Studies from the National Defence College and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.  

"With his extensive experience in the justice sector and a deep understanding of Judiciary operations, Hon. Ndemo is well-positioned to bridge the gap between the institution and its stakeholders, ensuring that the Judiciary remains responsive to the public it serves," the statement concluded.
