Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has called for the resignation of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and National Intelligence Service (NIS) Director General Noordin Haji following Raila Odinga’s African Union Commission (AUC) loss.
In a statement on Saturday, February 15, Amisi said the NIS failed by misrepresenting Kenya’s level of support in the AUC bid.
He claimed that Mudavadi and Haji lied to Raila leading to his role for the top AUC seat.
“The purpose of NIS is to provide intelligence useful to help the country safeguard her sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as achieve her objectives. In this AUC campaign Noordin Haji failed miserably. By now Musalia and Haji should have resigned for lying and subjecting Baba to a loss that he doesn't deserve,” Amisi stated.
On Saturday, Raila was eliminated from the race after an intense round of secret balloting at the Nelson Mandela Hall in Addis Ababa.
