JSC said the vacancies were canceled due to financial constraints.

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has cancelled 171 job vacancies that had been declared in the Judiciary.

In a notice on Tuesday, March 4, JSC said the decision to cancel the vacancies is due to financial constraints impacting the country.

“This is to notify the general public and the applicants that owing to fiscal constraints currently affecting the country, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has cancelled the advertisements for the following positions,” the notice read in part.

The canceled vacancies include; Legal Researcher (60), Diploma Internship Building Services – Construction/Project Management (1), Graduate Internship Building Services Architecture (1) Diploma Internship Building Services Architecture (1), Graduate Internship Building Services – Electrical Engineering (1), Graduate Internship Building Services Mechanical Engineering (1) and Diploma Internship Building Services Structural Engineering (1).

Others are Graduate Internship Information Communication & Technology (Application Development) (12), Graduate Internship Office Administration (Secretarial Services) (20), Graduate Internship Information Communication Technology (ICT Security, Network Engineering, Database Administration, Web Development, System Administration, Application Development, ICT Support) (12) and Diploma Internship Office Administration (Secretarial Services) (25).

JSC also canceled vacancies in the following programs; Diploma Internship Supply Chain Management (8), Graduate Internship Information Science and Records Management Services (9), Diploma Internship Information Science and Records Management Services (Library Services, Records Management) (9), and Graduate Intern Supply Chain Management (10).

JSC urged Kenyans who were interested in the positions to contact the commission for inquiries and clarification.
