Ministry of Health has announced more deaths resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic despite the flattening curve in the country.

152 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 from a sample size of 2,213 examined in the last 24 hours. This brings the total confirmed cases in the country to 106,125.

The total cumulative samples tested for Covid-19 in the country now stands at 1,301,051.

Of the positive cases, 144 are Kenyans while 8 are foreign nationals. The youngest case is a 7 year-old child and the oldest aged 79. 83 are male and 69 are female.

The Ministry of Health further announced that 39 more people have recovered from the virus. 23 patients were from the Home Based and Isolation Care while 16 are from various medical facilities in the country.

This brings the cumulative recoveries to 86,717.

Sadly, MoH announced that 3 patients have succumbed to the virus. The total fatalities in the country now stand at 1,859.

327 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities in the country while 1,527 patients are on Home Based Care and Isolation.

57 patients are currently in Intensive Care Units (ICU), 25 of whom are on ventilatory support and 28 on supplemental oxygen. 4 patients are on observation.

Another 15 patients are currently on separate supplementary oxygen all of them in general wards across the country. No patient was reported to be in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
