The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has released the timetable for the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE).

As detailed in the timetable unveiled on Thursday, March 13, the national examinations began in January, with students undertaking various subjects such as Agriculture and Computer Studies expected to complete a 7-month project.

The official rehearsal day was scheduled for Friday, October 17.

On the other hand, candidates will sit for the official writing exam on Monday, November 3, 2025, with students expected to sit for the English paper 1 and Chemistry paper 1.

Maths paper 1 has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 4.

The exams will end on Friday, November 21, 2025, with Physics practical exams scheduled for that day.

Meanwhile, KNEC advised students and teachers to prepare adequately for the national exam, further warning of action against those who will engage in exam malpractice.

"Any person who gains access to examination material and knowingly reveals the contents, whether orally or in writing, to an unauthorized party, whether a candidate or not, will be in violation of Section 27 of the Act and the penalty will be imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years, or a fine not exceeding Ksh2 million or both," read the instructions in part.

"Any person who willfully and maliciously damages examination material will be in violation of Section 30 of the Act and the penalty will be imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding Ksh5 million or both."
