Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has revealed that he has been pursuing two Masters Degrees for the last two years.

Addressing the media on Tuesday, March 18, Nyoro detailed that he was pursuing his postgraduate studies in economics at Kenyatta University and the University of Nairobi.

The MP explained that his decision to go back to school was based on his desire to understand economics better given that he had been elected to chair the Budget Committee in the National Assembly.

He expressed that he did not take the position lightly and wanted to ensure that he made better decisions for the Kenyans.

"Given the chance I was serving on the Bidget Committee, I decided to go back to school. I started pursuing two Masters Degrees together. One at KU - Master of Economics in Public Policy and the other at the University of Nairobi - Master of Arts in Economics.

"I decided to do that because I also wanted to deepen my knowledge of the economic platform. The more the reason, I made it my duty to listen and participate in other activities as a student," he revealed.

Nyoro is currently doing his research and hopes to graduate this year.

On the other hand, he thanked his colleagues for giving him the opportunity to serve on the committee. He detailed that they would spend many nights in the office to ensure that they do right by Kenyans during the budget-making process.

"This position is very involving. Sometimes, we slept in the office and left very early in the morning. Not just myself but the members we were serving with," the lawmaker added.
