The mother of missing fisherman Brian Odhiambo stormed the stage and disrupted a speech by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen during a public event in Nakuru.
The incident, which unfolded on Wednesday, March 19, brought renewed attention to the unresolved disappearance of Odhiambo who has been missing since January 18.
The interruption occurred as Murkomen addressed residents on various security and administrative matters.
Wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the words "Justice For My Son," Odhiambo’s mother approached the dais where he briefly spoke with the CS.
Following a brief exchange, Murkomen then gestured for her to join the VIP dais where she was received by the County Commissioner.

“I want to tell her that I stand in solidarity with her, to do whatever is necessary to hold those KWS officers accountable for taking her son. We will hold them accountable until we are told where Brian is because we can’t allow this,” he said.
Odhiambo, a 31-year-old fisherman from Kivumbuni, went missing after allegedly being arrested by KWS officers for illegal fishing in Lake Nakuru National Park.
His disappearance sparked widespread protests, with residents accusing KWS of foul play.
In February, Odhiambo's mother made a tearful public plea after reports surfaced that a body believed to be her son’s was found floating in the lake, only for it to be retrieved and removed by KWS officers without explanation.
The family’s quest for answers has since been met with legal setbacks, including a court ruling last month that found insufficient evidence to prove Odhiambo was in KWS custody.
Just days ago, on Saturday, March 15, Odhiambo's mother, along with Odhiambo’s wife and brother, were briefly detained outside the KWS gates at Lake Nakuru while demanding answers.
