The reporter died under unclear circumstances at his home in Kinoo, Kikuyu Constituency.

Police officers have launched investigations after Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) reporter Fredrick Parsayo died under unclear circumstances.

In a statement on Friday March 21, KBC said the reporter passed away on Friday at his home in Kinoo, Kikuyu Constituency.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our esteemed colleague, Fredrick Parsayo, who served as a reporter in the KBC Editorial Department. Fredrick sadly left us on Friday, 21st March 2025, under circumstances that are still being investigated, at his home in the Kinoo-Kikuyu Constituency. This unexpected loss has deeply affected us all,” read part of the statement.

KBC noted that the incident was reported to the Kinoo Police Station and the body of the journalist has been moved to the St. Teresa Mortuary.

The media house also noted that Parsayo’s family has been informed of the death of their kin.

“The incident has been reported to the Kinoo Police Station, and Fredrick's remains have been respectfully taken to St. Teresa Mortuary. His family has been informed of this tragic event,” KBC stated.

KBC eulogized Parsayo as a cherished member of the editorial department whose absence will be felt by everyone who knew and worked alongside him.

“On behalf of the KBC Board of Directors, Management, and all our staff, we extend our sincerest condolences to Fredrick's family, friends, and all those impacted by his loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time,” KBC added.
