Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has alleged that some government officials are planning on using state machinery to intimidate him.
Speaking on video on Thursday, March 27, the MP claimed that unnamed state officials held a meeting last week to plan how to pressure him following his opposition to the President William Ruto administration.
He indicated that he had credible information regarding a plot to have officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) raid his constituency offices.
According to Babu, the raid was to be done this week or sometime next week.

"I was reliably informed by very serious sources that this week, EACC detectives were to come visit us at our offices in Donholm. If not this week, then next week they are to come," he said.
"Their intention is very clear, that we need to put Babu down and tell people there are corruption allegations in Embakasi East."
On the other hand, he revealed that he had been approached severally by some individuals who wanted him to change his position on criticizing the government.
Babu maintained that he would continue to call out the government, urging it to sort out the issues affecting Kenyans, such as the Social Health Authority (SHA).
"If there were jobs for Kenyans and the healthcare system was working, then Babu Owino will not have any business opposing the government," he remarked.
