Former Chief Justice David Maraga has refuted reports of being state-sponsored.
Speaking on Sunday, March 30, the former CJ expressed that he was the best candidate for the presidency in 2027.
He added that he was still consulting over his State House bid.
Maraga is one of the candidates seeking to challenge President William Ruto in 2027.
Apart from Maraga, former Interior CS Fred Matiang'i, who also hails from the Gusii region, is in the State House race. Some leaders had questioned whether Maraga's candidature was sponsored to water down that of Matiang'i.
