Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has criticized Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi after he said it would be difficult for President William Ruto to be defeated in the 2027 general election.
In an update on Monday, March 31, Amisi accused Mudavadi of sending his community to political oblivion.
The ODM MP opined that all politicians from the KANU era would be sent home in the 2027 election.
“Why have you not used that long experience to become president. You have condemned a whole community to political oblivion. All Kanu boys are going home,” said Amisi.
On Saturday, March 29, during the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in Kilifi, Mudavadi affirmed that President Ruto will be re-elected for a second term in the 2027 polls.

The Prime CS implied that President Ruto would bank on his friendship with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, which he said would be a formidable force.
According to Mudavadi, the ODM leader will add the votes from his traditional bases to Ruto's basket, hence enhancing the latter's chances for reelection.
"I have been in politics for a long time, and I have assessed, and I want to tell you, it will be impossible to defend William Ruto in 2027.
With all that is currently going on, everyone has the right to free speech, but you will not defeat Ruto in 2027. They have united under the broad-based government; how will you succeed in challenging them?” Musalia posed.
On March 7, President Ruto and Raila signed a 10-point memorandum of understanding that will see UDA and ODM parties working together to implement the NADCO report and address issues such as unemployment and corruption while pushing for initiatives to strengthen devolution.
