The Public Service CS nominee detailed that most of the wealth was accumulated from private business.

Mbeere North MP Geoffrey Ruku has revealed that he has a networth of Ksh377 million.

While appearing before the Committee on Appointments on Monday, April 14, the Public Service CS nominee detailed that most of the wealth was accumulated from private business.

In particular, he detailed that he has shares in a private company worth Ksh250 million.

He also owns land and buildings in several parts of the country, with the value stipulated at Ksh40 million. On the other hand, his family residence was valued at Ksh60 million.

Ruku also revealed that he has savings and shares in saccos to the tune of Ksh15 million.

Lastly, the value of his vehicles was quoted at Ksh12 million.

Ruku was nominated to take over the Ministry of Public Service by President William Ruto after the firing of Justin Muturi.

In his interview, the nominee proposed various reforms in the public service, including the introduction of a system to monitor the time government employees spend at work.

"I will come up with a system in place to link all the government institutions. The time sheets are an extremely important component," the CS nominee revealed.

"Once you go to work, we are supposed to know what time you reported to work, your output that particular day and what time you left the work station."
