Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has expressed that a video being shared online regarding her defence for President William Ruto has been doctored.
In response to the video that had been posted by Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai, the MP stated that the video was doctored to spread propaganda.
In a statement dated Sunday, April 20, she noted that the video was edited to spread the narrative that she had changed tune in criticising the Ruto administration.
"Alai, you like sharing the doctored speech to spread propaganda. Listen to the clip end," she reiterated.

Equally, she posted the authentic video that was taken during her past interaction with her constituents.
Unlike in the doctored video, Wamuchomba was castigating Ruto allies for spreading narratives that he was being opposed because of his tribe.
She reiterated that the Mt Kenya region had always opposed leaders who were elected from the region.
Citing former President Uhuru Kenyatta, Wamuchomba expressed that residents failed to follow his lead in supporting Former PM Raila Odinga and opted to back Ruto in the 2022 polls.
Therefore, she opined that the President's aides did not have any grounds to call government critics tribal.
"Go and read your history. Uhuru was our President for 10 years, and we refused to listen to him when he came to drum up support for Raila," she stated.
