Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in parts of Bomet, West Pokot, Embu, and Taita Taveta counties on Monday, August 4.
In a statement on Sunday, August 3, the company said the power outages will affect specific regions within the four counties for several hours during the day.
Residents in parts of Bomet County, specifically the Koiwa Market area, will experience a power outage from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Affected areas include Rorok Tea Factory, Kobel Tea Factory, Siomo EPZ Tea Factory, and the entire Cheptalal region.
Other areas to be affected are Taboino, Kitala, Kimarwandi, Embomos, Bosto, Satiet, Kaptebengwet, Kiptenden, and nearby customers.

In West Pokot County, the Murkwijit area will be without electricity between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Areas to be affected include Tartar, Comolee, Keringet, Kaplelach Koror, Cheptuya, Kaptarin, Adurkoit, and surrounding customers.
In Embu County, the planned outage will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 4:00 p.m.
Areas targeted include Embu Airstrip, Don Bosco, Jeremiah Nyagah Technical Institute, Gachoka Market and DOs, Kuku Afya, Kangeta Fides, Highland Canners, Gachuriri Market, Yonder Water Pumps and KHE.
Rugakori Primary, Kamucinga, Muraru Market, Muraru Primary, Meca Market, Kangungi Primary, Mbita Primary, Kamwimbi Primary, Emidan Farm, and adjacent areas will also be affected.
In Taita Taveta County, residents of the Bura area will be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The power disruption will impact the entire Bura Station and Mission area, Sarova Saltlick Hotels & Lodges, Zare, Nyolo, Mnamu, Tungulu, and nearby customers.
