According to Osmani, the duo discussed various ways to enhance the relationship between Kenya and Kosovo.
In a statement dated Sunday, March 27, she described Ruto as a good friend of Kosovo, adding that she wanted to bring the people of Kenya and Kosovo closer together.
"Always a pleasure to meet Kosovo’s great friend, President William Ruto, and to discuss the next steps in strengthening our bilateral relations, bringing the people of Kosovo and Kenya even closer together," read the statement in part.

Notably, the meeting comes a month after Serbia protested Kenya's move to recognise Kosovo as an independent state.
Serbia threatened to take diplomatic and political measures over the move.
“Such an act constitutes a blatant violation of international law and a direct breach of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, which unequivocally guarantees the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia,” read the statement in part.
“This move sets a regrettable precedent in the traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and Kenya relations that have been built over decades on the principles of mutual respect and cooperation, including within the Non-Aligned Movement."
