The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has cautioned motorists over anticipated traffic disruption along Mombasa near Katani Road Junction.
According to the authority, the disruption will be experienced between Saturday, May 2, at 10 pm to Sunday, May 3, at 6 am.
KeNHA explained that the disruption will be occasioned by the planned installation of footbridge beams.
"The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Mombasa Road (A8) near Katani Road Junction will experience traffic disruption along the Nairobi-bound lanes from Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10.00 pm to Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 6.00 am," read the notice in part.

Motorists were advised to approach the area with care during the stated timelines.
Additionally, KeNHA gave diversions that can be used by motorists during the planned works.
"KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan below and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site," he added.
Earlier, the authority had warned motorists using the Nakuru-Kampi ya Moto (817) Road about the emergence of a sinkhole.
Affected motorists by the incident were those travelling to Baringo, Nakuru and Eldoret.
