‘Ruto Must Go’ chants erupted on Friday, May 2, during former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i’s homecoming tour in Keroka, Kisii County.
In a video seen by Nairobileo.co.ke, Kisii residents who turned out in large numbers to welcome Matiang’i chanted ‘Ruto Must Go’ while others chanted ‘Matiangi’.
The former Interior CS made his first public appearance on Friday as he kicked off his Nyamira and Kisii counties tour.
Addressing locals in Nyansiongo town, Nyamira County, Matiang’i said he would work with like-minded leaders ahead of the next generation election.
“I have heard everything you have said. I want to assure you that we will talk with other like-minded leaders to walk together in this course,” said Matiang’i.
