Former President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to receive reduced budgetary allocations in the upcoming Financial Year.
As detailed in the budget estimates published by the National Treasury in April 2025, the Office of the 4th President will receive Ksh 276,852,213.
This will be a Ksh94 million reduction from the current allocation of Ksh371,459,163.
Most of the cut was effected on the projections for local and foreign travel. For instance, in the current financial year that is coming to a close, Uhuru got Ksh95 million.
In the upcoming financial year, he will be receiving Ksh43.5 million for foreign travel.

On the other hand, the current Ksh29 million allocation for domestic travel was reduced to Ksh8,075,000.
The budgetary allocation for supplies and services was reduced from Ksh22 million to Ksh16.12 million.
Equally, the current allocation for insurance costs of Ksh46 million was reduced by 50 per cent.
Meanwhile, the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will get budget cuts in the next financial year. From the current Ksh87,202,695 allocation, Treasury has allocated Ksh63,267,581 for the next financial year.
In Raila's office, most reductions have been witnessed for domestic travel, with the current allocation of Ksh2.4 million reduced to Ksh1.8 million.
The current insurance costs of Ksh40 million were also reduced by Ksh20 million.
