The accident comes days after 12 people lost their lives following a fatal road accident at Arimi along Njoro-Elburgon Road, Nakuru County.

The fatal accident occurred on Thursday, May 8, at around 7 PM, when a lorry collided with a 14-seater Matatu.

The driver of the matatu is reported to have lost control of the vehicle, leading to the road crash.

The accident resulted in the death of 12 people on the spot, while two passengers sustained injuries.

In the aftermath of the incident, passers-by gathered at the scene to offer assistance to the injured.

The injured were rushed to the hospital for medical attention while the deceased were taken to a local mortuary.

The Arimi area has long been considered a black spot, and motorists are urged to exercise caution while approaching the area.
