The entity has been circulating promotional materials suggesting that the State Department for Lands is associated with it.

The State Department for Lands and Physical Planning has issued a public notice distancing itself from eArdhi Group Holdings Ltd, warning the public against misleading information being circulated by the company.

In the statement on Wednesday, May 21, the department clarified that it has no affiliation or association with the company which has been promoting services claiming a connection to ArdhiSasa and the National Land Information Management System (NLIMS).

The department took issue with the company's claim that it offers training on how to use the ArdhiSasa platform, stating that this misleads the public by creating the impression that such services come at a cost.

“The State Department for Lands and Physical Planning wishes to notify the general public that it has no association or affiliation with an entity called ‘eArdhi Group Holdings Ltd’.

"The entity has been circulating promotional materials and advertisements suggesting that the State Department, through its known land management platform, ArdhiSasa, the National Land Information Management System (NLIMS), is associated with or in any way endorses their activities. The activities they promote reportedly includes coaching on how to use the ArdhiSasa platform for a fee,” the statement read.

The ministry explained that the firm’s claim of being ArdhiSasa and NLIMS experts is false, noting that such experts are government officers.

"The Ardhisasa system is a Government system and NLIMS is a Directorate within the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning.

"eArdhi Group Holdings Ltd. purports to be Ardhisasa and NLIMS experts. This is a misleading statement. The Ardhisasa and NLIMS experts are officers in the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning," the statement added.

Furthermore, the department revealed that they provide free tutorials to the public and professional groups on how to use the ArdhiSasa platform.

"The State Department provides free tutorials to the public and professional groups on how to use the Ardhisasa platform and perform other land transactions. These tutorials are available on the Ardhisasa website and official social media channels including our YouTube channel.

"Some of the materials used by eArdhi Group have been directly lifted from our platforms," the statement further read.

The ministry has urged the company to cease all marketing that implies any form of partnership or endorsement with government systems.

“While the entity is within its rights to engage in any legal business, it should immediately cease marketing itself as having any endorsement or partnership with the State Department of Lands and Physical Planning or its systems,” the statement added.

Additionally, to ensure transparency and accessibility, the ministry reiterated its commitment to digitizing and automating land services without increasing costs to the public.

“In this regard, we distance ourselves from the attempt to create the impression that the digitization and automation of land services comes with more costs for users — the opposite of the aims and achievements of our land reforms,” the statement concluded.
