Kenya Power has announced scheduled power outages on Monday, May 26, affecting various parts of Nairobi County as well as sections of Nandi and Nyeri counties.
In an update on Sunday, May 25, Kenya Power said the planned maintenance exercise will take place between 8 AM and 5 PM.
In Nairobi County, power interruptions will impact parts of Kangemi, Kabete, and Dandora.
Areas in Kangemi that will be affected include Muratha Road, Hinga Road, Gichagi Road, Kangemi Primary, Kangemi High, Kangemi Bottom Line, Kangemi Shangilia, Ananda Marga Academy, Kangemi Dallas, Khumbunini Primary, Kangemi Co-op Bank, part of Waiyaki Way, Kangemi Market, and nearby customers.

Kabete will also experience outages, specifically areas such as Vetlab, Chinese Construction Companies, Loresho Ridge, Loresho Springs, Pest Control, Qaribu Inn Hotel, and adjacent customers.
In Dandora, the power cut will affect Mwollem, Tononoka, and parts of Dandora Phases 2, 3, and 4 along with nearby residents.
In Nandi County, the outage will be experienced in Koisolik and Kipyest.
Areas such as Koisolik, Chepnyangson, and Kipyest will have an interrupted power supply throughout the maintenance period.
In Nyeri County, the power maintenance will impact Kinunga and Ihwa areas.
Affected locations include Kamuyu PCEA, Kamuyu Dispensary, Kariumba, Githurini, Giatiti, Kihatha, Kinunga, Gachuiro, Ihwa, Sunset, Chania, and surrounding areas.
