Kenya Power has announced planned power interruptions scheduled for Tuesday, June 3, across various regions of the country, including parts of Nairobi, Central Rift, North Rift, Western, North Eastern, and Coast regions.
In a statement on Monday, June 2, the utility company said the outages are part of routine maintenance work.
In the Nairobi Region, part of Makongeni will experience a power outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Areas to be affected include Kaloleni, Makongeni Estate, and adjacent customers.
In the Central Rift Region, two counties will be affected.

In Nakuru County, Kabarak University and its surrounding areas, including the secondary school, bakery, Ravine Dairy, Rafiki, Rawhide, Summet Borehole, and nearby customer will have no power from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In Baringo County, areas including Timboiywo Market, Sacho High School, Kiptagich Market, Torotwo Water, Kaplel, Tabagon, Sigowo, Kapkelelwa Market, Tenges Market, Tuluongoi Market, Sangarau, Ochi, Cheplambus, Mokorwo, and Kisonei will face a power interruption from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
In the North Rift Region, parts of Uasin Gishu and Nandi counties will be affected.
In Uasin Gishu County, Kaptinga By-Pass and adjacent areas will be without electricity from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., while Kapchesukunwo, including Soiin Primary and Kapkatembu, will experience a longer outage from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In Nandi County, the Kabongwa area including Chepterit, Tulon, Kipchuno, Lutieti, Kapkimbir, and surrounding locations will face an outage from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In the Western Region, parts of Vihiga and Kakamega counties will be affected.
In Vihiga County, areas around Bunyore Girls, Maseno Water, Ebusakami, Wemilabi, Esunza, Emusire, and Epwopi will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In Kakamega County, Lukume Market, Sawawa Market, Shihome Market, Powersport, Konaine, Bulupi Secondary, and neighboring customers will also experience an outage during the same time period.
In the North Eastern Region, areas in Kiambu and Kitui counties will be affected.
In Kiambu County, residents and businesses in Karuri, Banana Market, Karuri Hospital, Karuri Exchange, and part of Ruaka specifically between Gacharage and Ndenderu Junction including National Oil Ndenderu, Shell Ndenderu, Delta Karuri, and St. Tito will face an outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In Kitui County, Kyango, Kinakone, Kiangwa, Mwania Ngombe, Kalwasi, and Voo will also be without electricity during the same hours.
In the Coast Region, Sea Horse Kilifi and Kilifi Bridge areas in Kilifi County will experience power interruptions from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
