Alupe University Announces 59 Job Opportunities; How to Apply

Alupe University has announced a wide range of job openings across academic and administrative departments.

According to an advertisement put out by the institution, the recruitment drive includes 32 academic positions and 27 administrative roles. 

The positions range from Senior Lecturers and Tutorial Fellows in disciplines such as Engineering, Computer Science, and Education to administrative roles including Secretaries, Accountants, and Human Resource Assistants.

In the academic division, notable vacancies include positions such as Senior Lecturer in Engineering (Geo-Informatics), and Tutorial Fellows in areas such as Medical Laboratory Science, Special Needs Education, Chemistry, Biology, ICT, Procurement, and Media. 

The university is also seeking Media Technologists and Computer Lab Technicians. 

Most academic positions are offered on a contractual basis, with a few permanent roles, particularly in critical teaching and technical support areas.

The university is also hiring for key support roles under the administrative division, such as Executive Secretary and Secretary in various departments, Clerical Officers and Internal Auditors, Assistant Dean of Students, Administrative Assistants, Library and ICT Assistants, as well as Grounds and Mortician Assistants.

Interested applicants must submit an application letter, detailed curriculum vitae, certified copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials, and identification documents, as well as a current Certificate of Good Conduct.

Additionally, applicants are also required to submit clearance certificates from HELB, KRA, EACC, and CRB, where applicable. 

They must provide names and contacts of three referees, clearly indicate the reference number of the applied position, and send the applications in both hard copy and PDF format to Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration, Finance and Development), Alupe University, P.O. Box 845-50400, Busia, Kenya.

Applications must reach the university on or before June 24, 2025, by 5:00 p.m. 

While only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, the institution said foreign-educated applicants must obtain academic certification from the Commission for University Education (CUE).
