Kenya Power has announced that several areas will experience power interruptions due to scheduled maintenance. 

Kenya Power has announced that several areas across six counties will experience power interruptions on Tuesday, June 10, due to scheduled maintenance. 

In a statement on Monday, June 9, the company said affected counties include Uasin Gishu, Kisumu, Kakamega, Embu, Kiambu, and Kwale.

In Uasin Gishu County, the power cuts will affect Kesses and Ketiplong areas from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Customers expected to be affected include those in Kesses Dispensary, Kesses, Chorwet, Chepkoiyo, Lelmolok, Ketiplong, Budalangi, and nearby locations.

In Kisumu County, Sabembe Primary School and its surrounding areas will be without electricity from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, in Kakamega County, the outage will occur from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., impacting areas around Sawawa Market, including Ibiakalo, Lukhome, GTV, Power Spot, Sihome, and adjacent customers.

Residents in Embu County will also be affected, with power cuts scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Masinga and Ekalakala. 

Specific locations expected to be impacted include Mukayauni, Kaplot, Wendano, Kakuku, Ekalakala, Kathini, Isyukoni, Kiangeni, Nzukini, Maviamaiu, Kithyolo, and Malanzau.

In Kiambu County, Lusigeti and Nachu areas will experience a full-day outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Areas affected include Charismatic, Nairobi Ndogo, Njumbi Primary, Karai Secondary, Lusigetti Shopping Centre, Nachu Shopping Centre, Karai Rurii, Karai Hospital, and the surrounding communities.

Kwale County will also see disruptions, particularly in part of Vingujini. 

The power cut will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting Vingujini, Mwaembe, Msambweni Referral Hospital, Msambweni Water, MBH, Miti Milele, and nearby areas.
