The Kenya Meteorological Department has projected that rainfall will persist across five regions this week.
In a weather forecast on Monday, June 9, the Met Department announced that rain will be experienced in the Central Highlands, Lake Victoria Basin, and Rift Valley.
The rainfall will also persist in parts of the Coastal region and Western Kenya.
“Rainfall is expected to persist in: Central Highlands, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, Coast and Western Kenya,” the Met Department stated.
The weatherman also projected that hot daytime conditions of more than 30°C are likely to be experienced in much of the Coast region, North-eastern Kenya, and North-western Kenya.

On the other hand, Parts of the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and areas near Mt. Kilimanjaro will experience cold nights of below 10°C in the next 7 days.
At the same time, the Met Department forecasted that strong winds exceeding 25 knots will be experienced on the Coast and Kenya’s territorial waters.
The strong winds will also be experienced in the South-eastern lowlands and the North-eastern and North-western Kenya regions.
“Strong winds ( >25 knots / 12.86 m/s) from the south to southeast will affect: The Coast & Kenya’s territorial waters, South-eastern lowlands and North-eastern and North-western Kenya,” the Met Department added.
