Several people sustained injuries on Tuesday, June 10, after a bus operated by Super Metro overturned in Juja along the busy Thika Superhighway.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident caused panic as the bus rolled and landed on its side, prompting a swift rescue operation by fellow motorists, pedestrians, and local residents.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to offer assistance, as injured passengers were pulled from the wreckage and provided with first aid before being rushed to nearby hospitals for further medical attention.
Among those rescued were the driver and several passengers seated at the front of the vehicle.
They were forced to crawl out through the shattered windscreen to escape the mangled bus, which had caused a temporary traffic snarl-up.

This comes a day after a Metrotrans Sacco matatu was involved in a fatal accident near AAR Hospital along Kiambu Road.
The matatu reportedly lost control, veered off the road, and toppled onto its side, resulting in two confirmed deaths and leaving several passengers with injuries.
Medical personnel from the nearby AAR Hospital rushed to the scene and promptly administered emergency assistance to the injured.
