Busia Senator Okiyah Omtatah has critized Moses Kuria following a tweet he hade regarding the death of Albert Ojwang.
Moses Kuria, in a tweet on Monday, June 16, urged Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen to ensure that all those involved in the murder be brought to book.
However, in response, through a tweet on Tuesday, June 17, Omtatah called out Kuria, opining that he could have a much more impact given that he is an advisor to the President.
He expressed that Kuria was speaking like a bystander yet he was close to power.

"Hon. Moses Kuria, you're not just a concerned citizen, you’re the President’s advisor. You sit next to power, yet you tweet like a bystander," Omtatah noted in his statement.
"Albert Ojwang was murdered. This isn’t “concern,” it’s PR. You’re not bold, you’re complicit. Stop insulting our intelligence. The people see through it."
Kuria in his earlier statement, called on Murkomen to ensure that all those involved in Ojwang's death are brought to book.
The President's advisor opined that he risked being seen to be part of the coverup of the murder if action was not taken.
"I highly welcome your order to have CCTV installed in all Police Stations. Kindly also instruct the same on Digital Occurrence Books," Kuria wrote on X.
"However, on the matter of Alfred Ojwang, CCTV was working but deleted. I urge you not to close your eyes rest it appears you are part of the grand cover-up. Stand on the right side of history. Hand over the high-level corrupt murderers to stand trial."
Ojwang died while in custody at the Central Police Station.
In a confession to IPOA by police constable James Mukhwana, senior officers at the station organised some detainees to beat up the deceased.
"This is the truth of what happened. Ojwang’ was not meant to be killed but to be disciplined as per instructions of the OCS Talaam, who was under the instruction of DIG Lagat. I am sorry for the death of Ojwang’. May God help them to heal the loss. I know it is painful," the officer wrote in his statement.
