The lawmaker was among the attendees of the 10th Annual Dairy Farmers Field Day at the Meru ASK Showground on Saturday, June 21.
The president presided over the event that saw the attendance of his deputy Kithure Kindiki, Governor Isaac Mutuma; cabinet secretaries; and other ranking government officials and political leaders.
In her speech, Muthoni hailed the president for supporting the dairy industry and formulating policies to enhance its growth.
She, however, rattled the public when she claimed the president had lowered the prices of animal feed.
"These are milk farmers, and this is the only industry where we dominantly have women, and the industry is very key because it is supporting families. As women, we thank you for supporting the Meru dairy farmers. You have helped to lower the prices of animal feeds. We thank you," she said.

Her sentiments sparked heckling from the farmers gathered at the showground, an apparent indirect message to the president.
Seeming to redeem herself from the embarrassment, the MP changed her tune quickly, acknowledging that the prices of animal feed were still high.
"It will go down. I am intervening on your behalf for it to go down," she said.
Proponents of Ruto have been getting a hostile reception in various parts of the country.
Earlier this month, DP Kindiki was heckled in Nyeri.
During an empowerment event held in Othaya on Wednesday, June 4, a group of youth caused a stir by threatening to disrupt the function, chanting 'wantam' slogans just outside the perimeter fence.
Footage from the scene captured the group loudly heckling Kindiki with the now-popular ‘Wantam’ chant, a slogan being championed by Gachagua.
Addressing the incident, Kindiki took aim at the protestors and Gachagua, accusing him of using intimidation, particularly targeting leaders from the Mount Kenya region.
